Default Honda DISCONTINUED optional accessories... MYTH!?

honda will tell you they are discontinued....
and i have worked for honda for about a year..... and ALSO thought the same (the computer says so)

but since i jsut bought another CRX (flawless, with floormats ) i was looking at the accesories for the 90-91 CRX...... almost everything says discontinued....

but i decided to do a "parts availability" check on the optional CD player and floor mats, and WHAT DO YOU KNOW? a dealership in the midwest had ONE set of floor mats ( so i ordered them, should get em tomorrow )

and a dealership in colorado had the optional CD player... so i ordered that too.

WILL POST PICTURES SOON!!!!!!!!

they are still dicontinued and cant be get...only way to find out if a dealer has it is to call every dealer in the US to see if it is in their back stock...unless of course you work for a honda dealership and have access to national info...another person did this and got the last set of new foglights a while ago...

I've ordered a new cargo cover, cargo tray, and rear cargo divider in black brand new from the dealer about 3 weeks ago.

Supposedly according to the dealers in California those items were discontinued. And it took for me to move back to Hawaii, to be able to order them. Hmmmmm go figure.

Yaaaaay for noob questions - what's an easy way to find a part's number, aside from pissing off your local Honda dealership employee by calling him/her up every time you want to know?

Yes, new oem parts are fun to get. I just got a 90-91 full bra I plan to mod for the jdm front end. The hood piece fits fine, but the bumper one I'm sure won't.
I recently got the jdm checkerboard floormats for free "honda primo" ones or whatever, they're nice. I should get some pics of my recent crap.

I'm going to post this now because last time i worked for honda, (pacific honda/ san diego), i got many many honda-tech members hitting me up for discounts or pricing, and it took 2-3 hours out of my work day to get pricing and shipping info for everyone that wanted a cheap hookup.... well, that **** didnt make me much money and in fact, it got me FIRED. now that i work for honda again, (hardin honda/ anaheim), i got people hitting me up and doing the same thing, this **** isnt going to make me rich or famous, and frankly its kinda a pain in the ***... dont get me wrong, i wanna hook everyone up, but sometimes you gotta do work at work, you know? so im gonna say this now..... I AM ONLY DOING SPECIAL REQUESTS FOR FRIENDS AND LOCALS, because i do not have time to get prices for everyone else on H-T.

SORRY FOR ANY INCONVIENIENCE, but you can just make friends with your local honda parts department employee.

Can you find a four door center console piece? The part that connects the radio console to the shifter console?

READ ABOVE. I probably CAN get it, but i'm not being paid to look up old discontinued parts, i do it on my breaks and time off. i'm not trying to be a dick.... but i got a million people asking me to look up parts for em, and i just dont feel like it, dont have time, forget, etc. etc.

call your local honda, they have a guy there that can find all the parts you want....
