ask for a headgasket for a 96 civic from any parts store or a dealership. its the layered steel one. you can get away with taking out layers to make it thinner, but it becomes dangerous.

The one in your D15B is already MLS. You won't gain anything noticeable by getting a new MLS gasket and removing the middle layer. If you mill the head while it's off, well that's another story.

raising the compression on a d15 is pointless anyways if youre trying to get a power gain, unless you have a built motor or raise the compression significantly.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by ham &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">raising the compression on a d15 is pointless anyways if youre trying to get a power gain, unless you have a built motor or raise the compression significantly. </TD></TR></TABLE>i agree

the .94mm tri-layer HG is about as thin as i would get; going thinner will yield almost no gain and jeopardize sealing integrity...

no use in tearing the head off unless you are going to make some serious mods...
