Default Cf Hood?

HEy, so i have a vis invader style cf hood, and it looked pretty nice but today someone jumped on it, luckly i found em and now there buying me a new one, so my question to you guys today is what do you reccomend? I think i like the style, just something a lil different than simple oem, but i want something that will stand up to the sun, and not fade/yellow. Any idea would be much appreciated, (car is a 98 ex coupe silver)

keep in mind the scoops in the hood, if they are real then they let water drip right onto you engine. mainly the exhaust manifold and cause cracking.

i would get on OEM stlye carbon hood

have fun with those HUGE vents, buddy had the hood for a week, it rain'd the water went directly on to his valve cover and dizzy and the car ran like **** and was misfiring so he sent it back, id go OEM, looks cleaner and will pay more for a vented hood like that when you could spend the same amount and get a high quality OEM with rolled edges IMO

when i got my car some clown put the same style hood on that you had in the pic, NOTHING BUT PORBLEMS.

spend less and get a real nice OEM looking one, i think they look better and they will keep more water off your exhaust manifold and valve cover.

i dotn know if you guys read his post but he says he doesnt want soething plain like an OEM hood, there are quite a few hoods that aren't real flashy and have vents, also my hood has vents in it and i have NEVER had a problem, its weird the evo 8 has vents and it doesnt seem to have issues either...

well obviously we know something you dont since we all agree that the vents are more of a problem as you go. cool water dropping on a hot engine, well most people know what happens. CRACK. headers, head, block are all subject to cracking because of this. so if your car never sees rain, snow, or any moisture hitting the hood then you wont have to worry.

we aare just trying to save you a headache later on but by all means, get the cool looking one with water traps on them.

i would have gotten the evo style one but i like my engine parts better than the hood.

i dont think you are familair with them at all, they have fiberglass covers that bolt onto the underside of the hoodso water isnt an issue if you are worried, just an fyi buddy
