Default Help with timing belt?

I have a 98 Accord that was just serviced at the dealer (1 week ago). I had them install a new t-belt and change the water pump.

Today my car died at about 60mph, forcing me to pull out of traffic. The first attempt at starting the engine was unnsuccessful (the engine just died right away). The second attempt was fine and the car started running again. I drove the car about 5 miles to park it. The engine ran and sounded fine.

If the belt is not broken, what could have caused this? Would a car start if the t-belt was broken?

Thanks

no it would not start if it was broken, second off the ignitor could be going. are there any codes? and if the belt slipped it would m ake a lot of noise valves hitting the pistons or it wont run at all. sounds like its not the dealers fault
