Will a cat-back exhaust for an 88-91 hatch si bolt up and work on an 89 dx hatch?

 

i recently purchased a 91 dx hatch with a si catback...im not sure if the previous owner had to modify anything to make it fit..but that thing is quiet as hell..i personally really like it

 

Aight...thanks I'm glad someone answered that and gave me enough assurance to at least try it out. Although if anyone thinks its not going to work please tell me before I blow some money on an si cat-back. Oh and I do mean an aftermarket one not the stock exhaust on the si.

 

oh i wouldnt know...mine has a stock si exhaust in it..the motor is a b16 and u hear the motor more than u do the exhaust...just look and see if the diameter of the piping matches up.

 

It should work, because they are the same car, same dimensions. I am pretty sure the parts that hold up the exhuast to the body should be the same and the exhaust manifolds come down to the same spot. So I think it would work. Someone please verify.
