Default POLL: TEIN S-Tech vs H&R Sports!!!

im kinda juggling between these two drop springs, the h&r is a bit pricier, but ive seen some pretty good reviews from the previous threads about them. the s-techs are around $160-180ish, while the h&r cheapest i found was 212shipped. has anyone used the s-techs?, i have a few friends around here rollin on s-techs, and i was wondering what you guys thought of them. it is a really nice ride, and drops a decent amount.

it seems as if these two springs are basically the same, i havent looked up the spring rates on them yet, but i heard the sports a pretty bouncy. Im putting these on stock itr shocks, and i dont want them blowing out anytime soon... sooo s-techs or sports??

yea i know about that other poll thread w/ the h&r springs, and s-techs, but not really much feedback on the s-techs.

I've been in 2 R's that have the H&R's installed. They ride well and the drop is very nice. They're also dirt cheap

i've got tein S-techs on my car, i don't do any type of road racing or antyhing pretty much just made the car a little more fun to drive. after about a year the springs aren't showing any sign of sag and the ride was still pretty close to stock.

both springs are pretty cheap...

you gotta realize what you want to do - then this poll will look silly, as you will realize which way you want to go.

the two sets of springs in here imo are being compared while being apples and oranges.

How about keeping the stock suspension intact? Then again, as stated above, all depends on what your ultimate goal is.

personally i would get some omniman sleeve-overs.
http://www.omnipowerusa.com/Pr...r.asp

spring rates are perfect for the street..and it's height adjustable.
about the same price as the springs you're looking at.

no more "aww i want it a little higher/lower.."

I was also looking into Tein S-Tech springs (since they had the tein name and cheap on ebay). After reading all the reviews on here I passed on them . No one had anything good to say about them.

Because he's old and cranky, and has read too many suspension polls.

Do the Omnipower sport coilovers, they're cheap and effective, and you can set the ride height as you want. Can be found for $599 shipped, or so.

At least, get struts to match your springs.

Don't put stiffer springs on the stock shocks. You'll get a bouncy ride and wear out your struts.

ived looked into those, but i didnt want to spend taht much money (even though it a hell of a deal) on coilovers when i wont be using them to their full potential. ii went ahead and ordered a set of h&r's off of adventon.com, pretty good price. i'd hate to get those coilovers and jus dd, besides im more geared towards draggin.

thanks for the suggestions though

Cool. You can upgrade the struts if the ride sucks, or if the OEM ones blow after a couple years.
