Eibach Sportlines to Neuspeed or H&R Sport
I currently have the Sportlines on my car now and have 195-55-15 tires. I think its a 2.25" drop with a one finger gap in the front and non in the rear. The ride is a little too rough and the tires rub, which both I want to eliminate. I was told to get raise it up to a 1.8" drop with probably some H&R Sports or Neuspeed Sports. Will they give me a better ride and keep my tires from rubbing?
Are you sure the spring were installed correctly? My sportlines lowered it that much in the front, and lowered it to about a one finger gap in the rear. Or are you saying that there is no gap in the rear?Mine measured out to a 1.75 inch drop after all was said and done, measured from the jack points in the rear and the front. I personally find the ride perfect for the street, too soft for autocrossing I think though, but just my opinion. But I do not get any rubbing and I'm running a wider tire. I have 205/55/r15 kuhmos. I would recomend the eibach pro kits, but you want a softer ride, so maybe the sports are the way to go for you. I'm not sure what thespring rates are for them though.
I can only recommend what I have HR Sports (1.75/1.5). It rides just a bit firmer than stock on good road surfaces. I don't have a problem 95% of the time rolling on 195/55/15. But I have a G6 Civic, for your G5, I would roll on 195/50/15. So when time to change tires, go for that size instead.
