97 ex.. removing radio
I own a 97 accord ex. She is my baby, i just got finished with her and i am in the process of throwing in a mp3 deck. The problem is i dont want to pay this guy 50 bucks to install it. i had installed several decks but this one is a pain. Has any one ever installed a deck in a 97 and does any one know any tips .
Pain the in the *** to remove the center console in order to get to the radio. There are screwes hidden in the arm rest, behind the emergency and security lights that you have to remove, along with a few others. Recommend you consolt a manual. Oh, and one more behind the cigarette tray.
My first time removing the dash, took me 3 hours to find them all.

Should be easy. Search in here. I remember I saw some thread that had pics show how to remove the dash.

YOU NEED TO REMOVE CENTER CONSOLE TO GET ACCESS TO REAR SCREWS OF FRT CONSOLE, REMOVE ASH TRAY, ONCE FRT CONSOLE IS OUT REMOVE THE 2 SCREWS THAT HOLD RADIO IN PLACE , DISCONNECT ANTENNA AND PLUGS ..IT IS A PIECE OF CAKE
