gauge fuel needle
i have a civic 98 EK with a fuel/temp gauge. I want to slide in the new white face over the black face. I know i can move the temp. needle around so that i can fit the new face as the temp. needle will return back to the bottom, what about the fuel needle? I tried moving it slidely and it didn't go back to the original position!! Will i screw up the fuel reading???
You may have broken it. They're very sensitive. If you go to http://www.slhondaparts.com you can get a replacement for it for around $20.
if i have half tank of fuel, and i move my fuel needle to full and plug the gauge cluster back, the fuel needle will go back to the actual reading of half tank?? please confirm?
I heard that ppl mark it, So if you move it you have to put it back into the original position. For me, I have a different problem, my friend was trying to be mr. technician and broke my fuel needle. Any how-to's on replacing or repairing? for now i tried glueing it, not looking too good.

I broke off my fuel needle when I installed my guages, my needle broke off. I was always under the impression that once a needle has been broken off it CANNOT be replaced, the whole guage itself would have to be replaced.

yesssss score! hahah i found it. I was looking for it tooo. You cant replace the needle, but you dont have to replace the whole cluster, just that section.
