The thread starter doesn't even say why he wants "stiff springs" but then answering that may start the thread spiraling into canyon driving hell.

Maybe the answer is hidden in his Avatar, which, in that case, TEIN, BUDDY CLUB, or KONI don't make springs for that kinda action....

if you don't like GC then i think you will find all others fall short, eibach springs are one of THE BEST springs on the market, couple them with a great damper (koni) and you have a GREAT set up.

i voted RAs cuz i have them
but yea, what the hell does 'true' coilovers mean--haha. if u just want coilovers to slamm ur ride, then a cheaper way to go is by just removing ur shocks and riding on springs, or cutting ur stock springs...OR u can do both.

I am not being an *** but have you ever tried to post in that forum? You can hear the crickets chirp it so so quite.
The reason I post in here and ask about products is becuase I know that out of everyone on this site the peolpe that actaully race thier cars are going to have the most accurate info when it comes to the products that I am interested in. You guys use the parts for what they are designed for not just if they look nice or for the bling factor or whatever you want to call it. You can actaully tell someone how the parts feel on the track and whether they are worth the money or if they are over priced crap. Just an FYI on why some people ask in here as opposed to the suspension fourm and such.

You tell me what the difference and the advantages of a "true" coilover is and I'll sell my suspension right now.

I have no real idea on this so this is an honest question. What is the difference between spending $650-$1000 on a set of full coil overs and sepnding $600+ on some GC and koni yellows for example or any coil over shock combo for that matter. Can you get custom spring rates and such from GC? I ask this becuase I am looking to buy new coil overs and shocks or full coil overs soon. I am considering the Omni, Tein, and DC2 full coil overs or a set of GC combined with an adjustable shock. I would like a product where I can choose a spring rate and such as opposed to being given a choice of this or that.

Ground control uses eibach springs, you can get ANY eibach ERS spring you want for that coil over, or if you really wanted to you could call up eibach and have they custom make you a run of springs.
Combine that with a damper from koni, and well you have your self MORE options then the girl of your dreams would provide you with.

I know a lot of you guys run this combo can you give me a vuage price range or a good site/supplier to look at/get a hold of to check on prices for the GC and the Konis (yellows I assume)?

Ground control- just call them up (link is in my sig, and the Number is on the site)
Koni yellows- if you want the regular ones with out the SPSS3 valving (that handle higher sprnig rates) there are a lot of poeple selling them for right under 500 bucks. If you want the ones with the SPSS3 and shortened bodies HT user maurader (sp) sells them for around 1000.
make sure whe you order your ground controls that you say they are for the koni yellows

What is considered to be the higher spring rate that would require the SPSS3 valving? I am not looking to run a real high rate so if I can get away with out haveing to spend the 1K on the yellows it would be nice.
