Default master cylinder options for EFs

what choices do I have for upgrading my MC? 15/16, 1" ???? Is it a bolt on affair or will it require rebending or flareing of the stock lines? plan on going for SIR knuckles and brakes, then eventually converting to prelude 11" rotors and calipers. anyone done this on their 4g?

i got one from 89 integ. i had to slighty bend one of the brake lines to fit. other than that, its perfect. the ef mc was $95 while the integ was $45..go figure

prelude 11" rotors and calipers
Get the m/c and propo from the lude while you are there. That is what I have on my EF. You will have to flair and use the lude fittings for the m/c to fit correctly. I like them alot though. It looks huge in the engine bay too...

The 90 Integra is a bolt on and is 15/16. Also it has a bigger reservoir.

I went with the 90-91 EX. It is a 15/16. Direct bolt up, plug and play.

I tried the 90-91 teg master cylinder ,it didn't bolt on. The flange is angled the opposite way when compared with the ef master. If you use the 90 teg booster as well I guess that would work. The 89 prelude one is the correct master to use as it will bolt onto the ef booster and is 15/16.

I'm actually going to check with Tilton and see if they make a non-boosted MC for the CRX.... better brake feel...

Actually, I was looking at prices, and a tilton MC is less than 100 bucks... Now getting the right one and fitting it properly, that's the challenge

Hey John.....I got the prelude M/c from a 93Si lude. I foget the size...but I am pretty sure that it was 1". I dont have any pics....but I am working on them. I am selling the car so I want to get some pics before she goes. I had to get a flare tool to do the lines, and I had to bend one of the lines to move it away from the shock tower. It want too hard, but I took my time to do it right and be cautious. All the rest bolted up though. Let me know if you have any Q's. Email me thursday night to remind me to take some pics before she leaves me. haha

89 Accord LXi MC-works great in my CRX w/Integra discs all 'round-just have to bend one brake line a bit.
