Default H22 And H23A1

what up guys, This post is basically about me getting some info for a friend. my friend owns (2) h23a1 motors, he bought them cuz he thought they were vtec, but theyr not. the Question is this; I'm prety sure he can put an h22 head on the h23a1 block so it could be a vtec, I'm I right?
and also, he's trying to sell one of the motors, the h23a1 only has 44K miles on it, no tranny, just the block and the head, how much should he ask for it???
thanx!

Yes you can do a VTEC head swap on the H23A. Do a search for some more info.

Yeah, you can place the H22A head on the H23 bottom end.. That's a not-so-common setup I've seen around. Supposed to give you more bottom end to mid range power, with an even more agressive vtec changeover..

It's a frail setup though, even more so than the LS-VTEC swap. Don't put NOS, turbo, or supercharger on that thing whatever you do. I recommend changing the rods after the swap..

yeah, real nice setup; the h23 has decent low and mid for a 4 banger, with a Vtec head it's really nice; but like just said, also not so reliable. If you change out rods it should be fine as long as also like said above, no FI
