ok well I just bought an accord with an H22a that is about brand new(only 2000 miles) The block was completely redone but on my way home I was on the highway and when I pulled off I heard a loud clicking, so I was only about 1 mile from home so as soon as I got home I pulled the spark plugs to run a comp test and what do you know one of the spark plugs is covered in oil.
Now what is the problem, I am going to pull the head off this week and take a look but what are my possibilities, at first I was thinking bent valve but now with the oil in the cylinder, I am not thinking so. I am now leaning toward a broken lifter is this possible? also I don't think it has anything to do with the block because it only has 2k on it and all the internals were replaced.

Sounds to me like you bought somebody else's headache...

Its hard to say whats clicking, could be many things. Is the spark plug electrode covered in oil?

 

yep the spark plug is covered in oil, on the way back to my house, a small amount of blue smoke, so not a huge leak into the cylinder but enough.

 

ok pulled the valve cover off and it is definitly in the head, can't figure out where but looks like I have to pull the head.
