ELD=electric load detector.

dont worry about it. i get it every so often. just pull the fuse for the ecu AND the one marked "hazard" and leave them off for about a minute, plug back in and the code should be gone.

In most cases you end having to replace the main fuse box. The ELD is built into it, soooo you can't just replace it...

I got a code 20 on my 89 crx dx. It turns out that one of my grounds was bad. I tightened up the ground and the code was gone.

ive NEVER seen an ELD sensor go bad. now thats not to say it doesnt happen. but in my experience, when you get error code 20, ususally you had a surge in the electrical system followed by the opposite. resetting the ecu and hazard will clear the code. now if you immediately get error code 20 again, then you may be looking at a bad ELD sensor, or like someone else said, a bad connection somewhere.

i've pulled the ecu fuse and the hazard fuse for 1-3 mins off then putting it back in. i'm still getting the code20. is the ELD sensor part of the main fuse box??what part of the main fuse box located at?? regarding about grounding or bad connections i've checked it the whole day yesterday. the grounding for the thermostat housing..the grounding on the cable tranny bracket and another grounding at the front of the car that connects to my valve cover....i've sand it down cleaned it and tighten the bolts down and still no luck. how do i check/find out if my ELD sensor is actually bad aside from the error code20? thanks again for all your help.

if youre still getting code 20, i recommend taking the car to a shop that specializes in electrical automotive stuff. yes the eld sensor is part of the main fuse box. as far as fixing the eld sensor, i really cant help you there as i have never done it myself nor have any of my friends, sorry.
