HELP!!whats going on??code 20
i'm getting a code 20 (electronic load detector) on my 91 si ecu. i dont know what happen. i've pulled the hazard fuse to reset the ecu a few times but it doesnt help. i've done a few searches about code 20 but cant seem to find the answer on this. any idea why or how i got that code20. what should i be looking for when troubleshooting on this?? all help is really appreciated. thanks in advance.
ELD=electric load detector.
dont worry about it. i get it every so often. just pull the fuse for the ecu AND the one marked "hazard" and leave them off for about a minute, plug back in and the code should be gone.

thanks DX-R. i'll try that tomorrow. i'm tired from figuring out that problem the whole day. from 11am-9pm. i've checked all my wires if it was cut or touching something. thanks again.
ive NEVER seen an ELD sensor go bad. now thats not to say it doesnt happen. but in my experience, when you get error code 20, ususally you had a surge in the electrical system followed by the opposite. resetting the ecu and hazard will clear the code. now if you immediately get error code 20 again, then you may be looking at a bad ELD sensor, or like someone else said, a bad connection somewhere.

if youre still getting code 20, i recommend taking the car to a shop that specializes in electrical automotive stuff. yes the eld sensor is part of the main fuse box. as far as fixing the eld sensor, i really cant help you there as i have never done it myself nor have any of my friends, sorry.
thanks for your recommendation, but that would be my last choice. my father also told me to take it to the shop. i told him i dont want to spend an amount of $$.
i also told my dad about this site and i said i know most people here at honda-tech has all the knowledge and has experience this problem. i'm sure of it they can help me out without spending that much $$.
anyone else that can help me solve this problem??thanks again in advance
