Default STS 94-2001 Integra Setup

205/50/15 Falken Azenis
24mm FSB
22mm RSB
Comptech Icbebox
OTS Koni Yellow w/ GC Sleeves

I know driver, seat time and suspension is very important. What are some legal weight reduction mods you can do in STS?

What are the fast guys running as far as setup goes?

You're probably gonna wanna run some 17s if you really wanna be fast. Those pesky 89-91 Si's weigh about 400 lbs less and run the same tire.

Light exhaust?
Light wheels? (SSR's, Volks, anything under 10 lbs)
Seats
Teeny Tiny battery
Header (OEM exhaust manifold weighs a ****-ton)

That is about it. I'm not sure that any 94-01 Integra ever came without a radio, so you can't do the radio delete like those damn 89-91 Si's

hey! the 92-95 civics can do the radio delete too!

other things to add to the lightening list...

hollow/remove swaybars
remove trim/emblems/splash gaurds
aftermarket aluminum lca's if you aren't using camber kits
yank the a/c
powerwash the undercarriage
urethane suspension bushings
aluminum body shocks
the shortest spring you can run
no seat adjusters

that's the short list. I've got a longer list sitting on my desk here, but I don't want to give out ALL my secrets. my 93 coupe weighed 2232lbs last year. It easily got down to 2150lbs.

listen to carl though, he's done one before.

Nate - had it down to 1850lbs, but motivation was a little iffy at that point... flintstones style baby!

On what tires?!? Not many choices in 17's which offer any improvement in width over the 205 15's. FK-451 is the one choice that I'm aware of.

That front bar is huge! I'm not sure of your present handling characteristics, understeer/oversteer, but it's probably safe to say that you're understeering like a champ with that front bar. What's your spring rates? I would probably remove that front bar all together. Is this bar in addition to your stock front bar, or does this bar take the place of the stock bar? I would reinstall the stock bar if you can.

17s would allow you to have more tire, but would hurt as far as weight is concerned. 15s should be fine, maybe a light 16in. wheel would help.

i wouldn't make that assumption. i made that front bar work on my civic. i've been told by others that drove my car that it definitely does not push.

Interesting. I guess if the rest of the car is setup accordingly, it won't be a problem.

Please don't listen to roadracers when you setup an autox car (i.e., removing the front swaybar).

I run the stock RS bar on the front of mine and the Comptech on the back. I think it comes down to not only the rest of your setup, especially shock valving and spring rates, but also your driving style. I like the car to rotate when I lift off so thats how I set my car up. Use whatever works for you. I also run 205/50-15" Azenis and need to lose some weight.

I guess what I meant was to remove the 24mm bar in favor of the stock bar. I'm not a road racer by any means, just autoxing now. Although a different suspension design, I disconnected my front bar on my '89 DA3 and I didn't like it at all. Reconnected it, and running a 19mm rear sway. Much better.

However, it all depends on driver preference. Some drivers prefer running with a big front bar or no bar at all. If you're happy with your setup now and you have good results with it, then don't change a thing.
