looked on kbb. com to see roughly how much they are worth w/ high miles but $4500 doesn't sound right, that was the price people could sell privatley for. thinking of selling my ej8 and buy ing a hatch cause i am just in love. anyone? i still have to pay 4k on my coupe though to, its an ex, hence the ej8

 

I've seen them anywhere from $5000 and up, but usually for a '96 ur gonna pay about $6500 average for one in good condition.

 

that sucks, how much can i sell my 97 ex w/ 88k and leather for stock?

 

probably like 7-9 since its an ex and has leather.
but the 96 plus hatches go for about 5-7500, depending on options and trim level.
im currently looking for the dark pearl one.

 

so should i sell my ex for a cx or dx? damm i dont even know if i can find one anyway what do you think, i have someone looking at my ex now and im aking 9 w/ evo and iceman and a sweet system

would be cool to have a hatch guy. 200lbs? do you like your coupe? it's loaded, a cx would be a big change. if you get one make sure it's white or silver. haha

 

welll its all preference. there are a lot more pros for the ex than pros forthe hatch...all the pros for the ex only get outweighed if u like hatches.

with the hatch, ur sacrificing all the power stuff, sunroof, brakes and whatever u already did to the ex.
the hatch has none of these, maybe power steering and ac....maybe.
but you'll buyt he hatch if you love hatches and plan on doin a swap, thats it.
and sacrifice not having all the ex options. but u can put all the ex options later.

if ur staying all motor and no swap...the ex has 127 hp?
hatch has a measly 106 hp.

im not trying to sway u, but its gonna be a big change.
persoannly i love hatches. i used to be into the coupe also, but that was because of the options, but imjust gonna swap all of the options into the hatch later.

 

well heres the deal w/ the coupe. i have a turbo but just bought a b18c1. soooooooo. i like my moonroof bad. heres my option. i have a dude who likes my car. it has roughly 6-7k in it from what i did. the blue book is at 7,500. i told him 11k w/ the kit and 8k w/out, it's a deal not sure if good or bad oh well. i found a cx and the guy is asking 5500 but i owe 4k on the coupe. thinking bout this i might MIGHT be able to talk him down to 45 cause it has 87k miles. i just dont wanna loose alot. it's silver too but it's only 200lbs. for the swap i already am ready for VTEC, but w/ the cx i would have to get an ex harness and i think thats the only difference. so should i ask more for the car? he can only give me 4k now too and the rest later prob. in bunches. i like the look of hatches, plus im tired of a black car. damm

 

i dont think anybody will pay that price, if u jack it up more, unless the buyer is super interested in it...personally i would pay 11k for a used 6th gen civic. maybe 8-10 tops, because after all all value decrease once its been passed one owner.

but seems like u have ur motives set...turbo and b18c1.
so i say go for it since u already have everything for the hatch.
and 5500 for a hatch is pretty damn cheap to begin with.
you can probably talk him down a little more since, probably no one is gonna buy a 87k used cx hatch...its a pos car all stock for anyone who isnt planning of modding it.
u can only get a hatch when ur young....and this is the only time u'll probably be ever doin this.
put urself int he situation...are u gona be thinking about a hatch if u dont end up selling the coupe? if u are then save urself the trouble of kicking urself later and get the hatch.

 

keep ur coupe man.....my hb is a piece of poo poo...the coupe is a better deal
