When taking the MSF course what items are needed, if any? like helmet, gloves....or do they provide it? thanx

 

they will only provide helmets. you must wear a long sleeve shirt or a riding jacket, leather gloves, long pants, and shoes/boots that cover your ankles.

 

Sunglasses too. Got kicked out my first day cause I didn't have them. It was bullshit too cause someone offered to loan a pair to me.

thats ridiculous. i'm assuming theres more to the story because that is absurd.

 

When you sign up for the MSF class, they will send you a letter outlining what you need to bring.

IIRC, eye protection is required.

 

the gloves, glasses, and helmet were provided when i took my class. make sure you have boots or high-top sneakers that cover the ankle. they were real picky about that in my class.

Same with my class^

 

I took it two weekends ago and all you needed was eye protection if you didnt have a full face helmet, any gloves, over the ankle shoes, long pants and long sleeve shirt.

 

As I remember, all you need is a long sleeve shirt, boots or pretty much any shoes that covers your ankle, a pair of jeans and gloves that cover your whole fingers and no bare knuckle gloves.

yeap, I took the class last year. You must have a valid license also. I must say, it was a fun experience but the first day of class was hell.

If you dont have eye protection you will have to go through all drills with your visor down. I know when I took my MSF class in July it was hot hot hot but I had glasses on so it wasnt too bad. I felt bad for all those people who didnt have glasses or any kind of eye protection.
