Default Shock/Strut recomendations

Long Version:

Over the summer I want to do some mild DX --> SI work on my 91 CRX. Im going to get my hands on some SI door panels, seats, and some new floor mats. But I also want to give it a more agressive look on the outside (dont worry, no rice body kits). It needs some detail work; Fix up the scractches and dents, get some new side trim to replace the dented one, fix paint scuffs/chips/swirls. Maybe even get the OEM wing. Then definently get some new wheels, either stock SI, or GSR blades. Now that you've read my dreams and aspirations for the exterior of my baby, lets get to the topic!
I want to give the car a slight drop all around. I originaly wanted to just slap some coil overs on, but after going some research here I found out that coil overs on stock shocks would end up a disaster after a while. So what are some reliable brands for shocks to put on my car. Also, what are some good coilovers. From reading about coilovers Ive heard Tenzo R, Omnipower and Skunk2 frequently. Are new struts recomended as well?

Condensed Version:
I need some shock/coil over recomendations to lower my 91 CRX DX. I didnt want to just slap on coil overs and hurt my stock shocks after a while.
Are new strusts recomended as well?

Thanks in advance HT

well reading your shorten version, it comes down to money and what you want to do with the car...there is also a suspension forum on this board, check there...

Well Ive been really happy with my set-up....koni adjustables w/ Ground Control coil-overs & top mounts. This way I can adjust ride height, dampening and I get a slightly longer shaft travel w/ the top mounts (helps with lowered cars). Ive ridden in a few different CRX's with different set-ups and I would have to say this has been my favorite. BUT everyone has there preference so its hard to say which one is best. I would look at what you want to accomplish and see which kits best suit your needs or wants....and remember its definitely worth saving for the best shocks & coil-overs you can afford but still remaining rational. If your not a hard-core track racer then Im sure you'll do fine without 16 way adjustable coil-overs.

good luck
