I have done it in my civic dx. Pain in the ***. You need the mounting bracket from the donor crx. You also have to trim the top of the console to make it fit. When you test mount it you will know what I mean. You also have to have a trim piece made. I had one done at the local stereo shop. It will fit but it won't bolt up the same. Here are some links to a few pics I took of mine... http://www.geocities.com/CapitolHill...teriorpics.htm

I have an 88 Civic Std. and I did a CRX dash and center console swap for the hell of it since I had the parts laying around. To make it right, you'll need the entire dash and center console from an 88-91 CRX. I don't see how you could use just the console and get it to fit the Civic dash, but anything's possible I guess.
It's easy to do and there's really no guess work involved. The only problem I ran into was the instrument cluster wiring was different in the 88 than the 91 CRX Si cluster I used. I just ended up making a hybrid cluster from parts of both. I don't have any pics but I could take some, although it just looks like you are looking at a CRX inside.

why bother modifying it...it'll look like S**T regarless. don't be lazy and cheap...get the WHOLE dash. else don't bother.
im not buddy i was wondering what i needed to do it thats all it has nothing to do with being lazy and cheap

The first pic is a "center audio console" from a 92-95 Civic. The CRX dash's vents are angled towards the driver so the console is angled to match...it won't work straight up with a Civic dash.
Chill man, someone brought up sticking a CRX center console on a Civic dash. I wasn't talking about your post.
ok so what if you have the whole dash from a crx? will it just bolt in or does it need modification? see i have a whole dash and i know the only thing that won't work is the cluster but will a civic si cluster fit in its place?
