how to tell if shocks are good when they are out of car? itr shocks???

Default how to tell if shocks are good when they are out of car? itr shocks???

im buying used itr shocks and i want to know how to tell if the shocks are blown or not... besides leaking and that.... like should i remove the spring and push the shock down????

remove the shock and compress it. if its blown itll take a long time to decompress.

compress the shaft, if it doesn't come back up, it's blown

Are you gettin' the rears too? Do you have an IT-R yourself?

you should've asked in the type r forum although it doesn't really matter.

anyways, like someone else said if you compress it and it doesn't come all the way up its blown

How are the shocks you're currently on? If you do end up buying those used sets, I'd be interested in your OEM shocks.
