No Vtec? Strange Stutter?----- ECU
Hey
I have a 94 civic ex, there is a P05 ecu in it. this aparently is NOT a SOHC vtec ecu. Would this be the reason for a stutter and loss of power at like 6500 rpm's im thinking the ecu is from a cx or something , so the rev limiter or fuel cut is set at 6500 or something. Anybody know what the deal is anyone run a vtec car with a non vtec computer and have this happen??

i ran a p05 on my b16 to get through inspection and had no issues. but i never got on it as i was breaking in my engine.
so with that said does anyone know where the fuel is cut and the rev limiter kicks in on a P05 ECU, maybe this is why i get a stutter that almost feels like fuel cut. Also this would be the reason for a lack of Vtec.

I think all your problems are from that ECU, get another one or get that one converted! rev limiter on a cx is whether 6500 or 6800 I dont remember.
