Default Brake noise with Project Mu pads

about 2000 miles ago i replaced my pads with project Mu pads (NS up front, B Power in back) and turned the rotors.

now once in a while the brakes will squeel. not too loud, or long even, but you can hear it.

is this normal for an aftermarket pad or no? i have heard some people say yes, some say no.

TIA

Yes, it is normal with the more aggressive pads out there. Try using a little bit of that anti-squeal goop on the back of the pad and see if it helps.

Would metal shims make for a better solution than the goop? My brakes may make the occasional squeal or so, but make 0 noise after a week or so following a fresh application of the goop...

well i am glad to hear that it seems to be normal. i do not have the shimms on there, hell why cover up the bling factor of it lol.
