Compression needed for buddyclub spec 4 cams.
Hello guys hoping to go for these cams but wanted to get some info first.I have a jdm integra type r.
If i do get them i was planning on getting the bottom end rebuilt as well but i dont know which option to go for should i go for ctr pistons with a standard 3 layer head gasket or stay with the itr pistons and a 2 layer head gasket, i will be using the buddy club valvetrain so they come with flat bottom valves would option 2 be enough compression to run these cams also i will be using 95 octane fuel as 98 is hard to get where i am from.
Thanks in advance.

If you already have the high compression valves, then you may want to forgo the CTR pistons as they would put you a quite an insane level of compression. I would indeed look into the using a 2 layer headgasket with the setup. Be sure to clay the motor before you try and start it up though.

Translation for the US folks...
98/95 octane is RON, not (R+M)/2. 95 octane in Dublin is like 91 in the US.
I'm not sure how much higher than 11:1 you want to go on that.

I think there is someone on ht running the 3+ on his GSR, but I'm pretty sure he has ITR valvetrain. Stock ITR valvetrain and compression(10.6) will make the 3+ rock for a good daily driving cam with great low-mid power.
