Brake fitting stuck...what can I do??
I was replacing the wheel cylinder on my 92 accord (4dr lx). While doing the right-rear wheel, I twised the brake fitting that runs from the brake (rubber) hose to the wheel cylinder. Well I bough new brake lines, but now the problem is that I got the brake line free from the old wheel cylinder, but the other end that in the rubber brake hose is stuck, I mean really stuck. I took the clip holding brake hose in place so that I can easily access the fitting. I cut the line off, so now all I have is the fitting exposed, I tried using sockets, wrenchs, etc....but nothing worked, finally I I sawed it down the middle so that I could stick a flat head screw driver and twist it off, but that just broke it in half. So not I have half a fitting stuck solid into the brake hose. I would buy a new hose in a split second, but the problem is that the other end of the rubber brake hose is connected to a similar brake (metal) line with the same size fitting on it, so If I brake that line its going to cause a major problem, as in replacing the whole line to the engine bay.
Im out if ideas....
