OBD0 to OBD1 q's
Hey my buddy is looking to go from an OBD0 to an OBD 1. he has a b16. What dizzy can we use? i have a 92 civic cx dizzy( OBD1) is that good enough or do we need something else? We searched and couldn't really find the specifics on the dizzy

not all the Dizzys fit the HEAD.
we used an Delsol VTI VTEC dizzy that came on a B16A2 engine with a P30 ecu
and that fitted nicely the Delsol ESI SOHC Vtec dizzy wont fit the Head.

Nope, it has to be either OBDI or OBDII. I would just get the OBDI B16 one, it will bolt right up.

Get an obd1 distributor for a B-series VTEC motor. Other distributors may "work" but you usually have to either cut one leg off or enlarge the bolt holes or something along those lines.

The d15 is obd1 unless my friend can't read his motor code right.

Well i have access to one that i would just steal form my friend
so i wouldn't mind cutting a leg off, thats what my current setup is anyway, i am using an HF dizzy on my b16.
The d15 is obd1 unless my friend can't read his motor code right.

yes your friends car is a OBD 1 car....but dont quote me on this one...but i thought there were differences between non vtec dizzys and vtec dizzys. even on distributor king its all labeld differently. but for some reason i dont think yours will work because it is a D motor not a B motor...but i could be wrong...

Point taken, except that for my obd0 b16 i used my hf distributor because the one that came with the motor was acting up. It worked perfectly, i just had to cut a leg off, and that was off an HF motor. sooo i am leaning towards yea it'll work, but we'll see

did u read this thread?? i had to cut one of the legs off the d series dizzy for it to work on my b16, and yes it runs like stock. U have to do the same with an LS dizzy, so whats the big deal, i am askin if anyone has used a d series obd1 dizzy when converting to obd1
