hella horn install help (basic wiring)
<---no good at wiring
well there are four pieces to the relay... i understand 87,85, & 86 (obviously)
30 - fused power (to battery)
87 - horns (Y slip wire to each horn)
85 - Ground (bare metal)
86 - stock horn wire (self explanatory)
how do i wire into the battery (30) the fused power?

Either hook direct to the battery with a fuse or a constant power wire for the car. I think I recall for air horns you want the most power which is directly to the battery.
okay got it all wired up, didn't work though
-where do you tap into for direct power from the battery?
-there are two wires from the stock horn, one black, one maybe blue (some color, i forget)... i used the black as the ground(connected to 85) and the blue as the horn wire(connected to 86), just makin sure this is correct?
-how do you know which side to ground and which side to run the power to? i followed the picture diagram on that one, but could be backwards?
-will soldering the ground wire to the mounting brackets be sufficient?

On the stock horn wiring? Black is the ground, but I grounded that directly to the chasis rather than the black wire.

no on the horn, it doesn't have a + or -, so i didn't know which side to ground, i followed the picture though

right, but which wire?
Do you have a test light? If not get one. The install will be easier if you know what you are dealing with wire wise on the car side.
Verify what you have and let us know how it works out.
