Default 520 for a used set of Tein HA's worth it?

Coilovers have always been out of my price range so I've never done too much research...

I searched the archieves here and didn't see too much in the way of reviews...

SO... what do you all think.

520 for a set of Tein HA's used... here's a Pic.

Here's the only description he had with them...
<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">
"PARTS ARE INCLUDED
-2 front used coilovers and 2 rear coilovers

These coilovers are used and are one of the top-of-the-line modle, they have height adj. from top and from bottom. There is some scratching marks on the coilovers due to shipping "
</TD></TR></TABLE>

This is for a 93 civic ex coupe that currently has the stock suspension with 203k miles... that and full ES bushing kit... but that's it as far as supsension mods... it handles great as is... nothing to write home about but adiquite for daily sprited driving.

If I don't get these I'll probobly either get GC's with Koni Yellows or possibly a new coilover setup...

Tell me what you guys recomend.

It's missing the helper springs for the rear.

for that amt of money they need a rebuild which will cost you about another 4-500 dollars plus you'd have to replace the springs since it doesnt look like the correct ones as gump said are on those shocks. Then again you could always run aftermarket eibach ers springs on those shocks. I know its possible

See I noticed there were no helpers on the rear... I just thought that was how they were...

Thanks for the heads up.

those look like crap and yes rear helper springs are missing.... im sure you'll be passing on those...

"There is some scratching marks on the coilovers due to shipping "

thats funny my cousin in japan shipped me some flex, and they didnt get all scuffed up due to shipping. even in a container you wouldnt see that much scratches. obviously this fool is looking for an easy victim... those scratches are due to abuse, not by shipping...

1) those look like ***

2) it doesn't sound like you have any warranty to fall back on.

Spend a few dollars and get some omnis, or Teins if you like, but buy them locally so you can claim warranty in the event something happens, and you have the satisfaction of knowing that you put on a brand new suspension.

Yeah if you can get them much lower than the price posted, then go for it.
If he's firm on $520, turn that ripoff deal down.

even if those teins were brand new, you'd still be much better off with the konis and gc's. no joke.

Yeah so it does look like that's what I'm going to do if I do replace the suspension...

Anyone got some links to a cheap place for GC's/Koni Yellows...

Cheapest I've found on the Koni's so far is 495 shipped... GC's are like 220 or something right?

495 isn't bad ... gc's are 320 but still worth every penny

do some research and pick your own spring rates for what you want to do with the car. that's the best part about this setup. with those teins or whatever bling full coilover setup, you're stuck with those springs. so if it's way too stiff or too soft you're pretty much beat on. with the konis, you have so much flexibility. for just daily driving off the shelf rates should be ok, but you should look into it in depth before you buy. and if you're initial guess is off, it's pretty easy to find and sell eibach springs.
