how much is a k20a2 head worth?
i got an ep3 with a k20a3 and dont like the fact that its not a true v-tech(its also to slow for a 2.0 i think). i am lookin to get a k20a2 head. how much are they goin for used with under 20k miles? and is it worth to get one without cams and get new cams. if its got no cams it would be cheeper but how much?
buy my turbo kit and show those vtec guys spooling up = better than vtec

I'll be the first so you don't get slammed; it's iV-TEC not V-TECH..lol. As for the head; I would agree-$800 to $1k is about average. No need to get new cams. OEM ones at 20k miles there shouldn't be a problem. Now, if the seller is saying "yeah, there's nothing wrong with the head but you might need new cams", the their IS something wrong with the head and I would have it looked at before even considering purchasing it. HTH.
i just bought an a2 head for 835...minus valves.....personally, im doing this head swap , puttin new cams in, new valves, valve springs, retainers. this swap is supposed to be relitively easy, although be warned.....if you want to upgrade the camshafts and all that junk like i am (because i nee stage 2 turbo cams, since i have a turboed EP3) you will need to upgrade your block. im talking pistons, connecting rods, sleeve the blocks....im not getting a crankshaft the stock on should be fine. you will also need a new head gasket (never use the old one). o, and you need to either get a DC5 ecu or, spend some extra money and get the k-pro upgrade which is an amazing stand alone system!

Actually, so you don't get slamed, I'll inform you its iVTEC not iV-TEC.
