Default accord 96 v6 turbo!

alright so i always wanted a turbo for my 96 v6 accord and of course they dont make turbos for the c27a. i was wondering if i made all the custom piping, could i just put any turbo in there. would i have to custom make a new manifold and ****. let me know if this is even possible.

hmm. it doesn't seem like many people mess with the c27 engines on that accord, probably because an h22 drops right in. but it probably would be all custom, i'm not sure where you could get a c27 collector flange to do the custom headers...... if you can find a c27 manifold then it's all a matter of fitment and bolt-on. of course with fitment comes more custom piping. not to mention fuel delivery, a/f ratios, oil return, IC, etc. might be a tough fit. i don't know how much space the 5th gen accord v-6s take, but i know the 6th gen v-6s leave little room for anything.

swap w/ what? im pretty sure the c27 have different mounts.

turbo is definately not worth it to get the manifold made is gonna cost a grip, and then on top of that its go an auto tranny that will blow in a few months. def not worth the money.

Its possible. There was a company that did a setup for the 1g Legends and advertises it on their site. Just search on google for turbo acura legend and it should show up. The early Legends use the C27 too so you can swap in teh 5spd to take the power. I know of two 5spd swapped c27 accords and only that one turbo Legend.

werd....sad when a i-4 of the same year and chassis can kick your monkey *** up and down the street AND gets better gas mileage while doing it.

My suggestion would be to swap into a f22b1 (cheap and direct swap) and go turbo with that as there are tons of parts for .

it is possible, there has only been one c27 accord that has been turboed down in kentucky. he was running a custom t3/t4 setup for about 300 hp, not sure if it was rated at the crank. anyway, the tranny on that car had a level 10 torque converter and was good for about 10 psi. if you need anymore info on c27's check out v6performance.net

an f22 wont just drop into a c27 chassis as the front end is extended an extra 3". and if he were to do a 4 cylinder swap why not just go for an h22 instead of an f22 since the mounts would have to be custom made anyway
