just wondering one of my friends is putting a b20 in his civic how much hp does this motor have

Well then. If its a b20 vtec thats another story. What you need to find out about his motor is A what head is he useing. B What Bottom end is he useing. C. what other mods are done to the car. You cannot just get a estaimate of HP with out a dyno.
May i ask why you ask of this? are you going to race him or something

no he got it like a dum *** kowing nothing about honda he was looking for car and found one and all the thold him was it had a b20 and he whould like to no how much hp there is

b20a3, and b20a5 as well.

well he is a idiot. and how dose he know it is a vtec? Like mentioned above You can not find out what hp rating is of a motor that is modified unless you strap it to a dyno.

im guessing any where from 1 to 100000000000000000000000000000000000 hp just a guess though . but really it depends on what all is done to it mild b20vtec could make like 160 to 180 just a b20 only makes like 150 at the crank

There is no stock B20vtec dude.. people take vtec heads and slap em on the block. If its a "stock" B20vtec then stock bottom end and stock vtec head = 160-180WHP if tunned. G/L and no a b16 will not touch it unless b20vtec is in a much heavier car.

just the b20 has 126hp and 133tq, but depending on the head he is using, if any, it could vary between 126-170hp
