What trannys will work on a ZC?
I just picked up a crx with ZC swap, the tranny wont shift into any gear unless the car is shut off and you turn the car on and take off in that gear.
Since Im new to d-series ZC motors, what tranny will work with the ZC motor? I have one from a d15 but it looks to be hydro as it has a slave cylinder on the front of it.
Also how in the world do I got the axle nut off the hub!!! Its stuck like god knows what!

well, yes all d series that's 88 and up.
but after the ed's, it went from cable clutch to hydraulic, and the mounts on the tranny are different too, so you don't want to use one of those.
so, use an 88-91 d series tranny, and which one you want depends on your desired performance.
if you're not making a hybrid tranny, use an si or a zc tranny. dx's are ok. do not use a std or an hf tranny, if you want any kinds of performance.

awesome thanks guys. What tranny is preferred for the ZC? I assume a Si cable tranny? I dorve the car around in 3rd gear today and the motor pulls strong with a pm6 ecu and 87 octane!
