Default s2k tires

what is the widest tire that will clear on a stock s2000? i realize the largest i can fit on the stock 16" wheels is a 245/45/16 but what if i got a wider wheel? also i have owned toyo proxes T1-S on my 93 Prelude VTEC...and i loved them, but a friend of mine swears by the BFGoodrich Pole Position S-03s...which are better?

S03's are made by Bridgestone, not BF Goodrich. if you are comparing SO3 to Toyo T1S, the S03 is the better tire

Let's not count out the Potenza RE-050. I know that it's in 17" form on the 04-05 s2ks, but it does come in 16 inch sizes and is a great tire.

What do you want out of the tires? Performance or life?

For grip Advan has great tires, but there real expensive and last about 5k.

personally i hate the s02 but every one has there favorites. the widest you can fit (this will vary depending on offset of the new wheels) is a 255/40 thats what i run on my CE28s (17x9 +65 in the rear) but you can run 265 no sweat if you roll fender i dont think ive ever heard of any one with 265 w/o rolling the fender , although im thinking about trying it, if it doesnt fit im getting them rolled.

p.s im about to pick up a set of the advan neova ad07, Fr:225/45/17 or 235 R:265/40/17 any one have these yet??
