Default VX 02 sensor 5wire-4wire???? how to????

ok i posted something to deal with this earlier but no one replied anything about it. Well basically people have been telling me that the VX 02 sensor is a 5 wire? and it needs to be changed to a 4 wire setup and was wondering how to do this. If someone can explain this to me in detail it would be wonderful thanks

The 5-wire O2 sensor (commonly called a Lean Air Fuel sensor, or LAF for short) is CONTROLLED (operationally) by your VX ECU. The 4-wire types are also controlled by the ECU, but only for the heater section of the sensor. So what I'm saying is this: If your not using an ECU that originally used a 4-wire O2, then your screwed. You can not adapt a 4-wire O2 to a 5-wire O2 ECU, and vice-a-versa.

ok the ecu that im using is a p-28 rerommed and that computer is set up for a 4 wire 02 sensor. The car (VX) chassis wire is setup for a 5 wire. How do i change the chassis wire for the p-28 to read the 02 sensor?

Specifically what wires go where...I do not know. Consult your Helms. I'm sure its not going to be a wire-for-wire swap. Your going to have to hack off one plug, install the other (4 wire) plug and probably re-pin at the ECU.

I just put a 01' ITR swap in my 92' VX, and as far as O2 sensors I used the ones that came with the swap, I believe. They have four wires 2 black, 1 white and 1 green. I am also running a chipped P28 ECU. No codes thrown yet. Hope this helps
