Just painted my rims. Will it be ok to take to carwash?
I just finished painting my rims today. 3 have been done for 2 days and one for almost a day. Would it be bad for them if I took it to a do it yourself car wash and they got wet / soapy? I know when you get a car painted they tell you not to mess with it for a while. Will this matter for my rims? I did them with spray can special wheel paint and clearcoat.
Please reply if you know ASAP. I would like to wash my car tonight before the show tommorow.
Thanks

It just at the 'local' Honda dealership where you pay like $4 and you get a pressure washer and whatever. Would that be cool? I need to know soon. Its almost 9pm and if I can go I want to do it really soon.

Its all a moot point anyways. I just woke up and its raining outside like hell. Well actually its clearing up now but when I woke up it was raining hard. So no matter if I took it to the wash or not my wheels would of got wet.
It seems to be fine. There is no noticable problems with the rims now. Everything is cool. I guess a day or 2 days in the sun on a windy day is good enough to go to the wash with your rims.
I never had the pressure washer on the wheels directly though. It was always just a light mist to get dirt or whatever off from other parts of the car. So if people search for this topic they can come to this thread and they will see that it is ok to do this with caution, taking your time, and waiting about a day or two for the paint to set.

I thought you were broke and on the verge of living in your car, how in the **** did you get money to waste on spray paint when you were crying about having to eat noodles for months on end to get by?
