FS/FT: '92 Civic VX-stock North Carolina
'92 Civic VX
130k miles
oxidized red/black
I'm trying to get pictures but the cheap digital camera I have isn't working right now. I'll try and get some pictures and scan them in.
It is an excellent swap candidate (the lightest EG civic w/ vtec wiring already) or a great car for these high gas prices (the reason why I bought it: 35-44mpg in the city and I've gotten anywhere from 45-62mpg on the highway depending on speed and drafting!)
The body's in pretty good shape. It has oxidized red paint and those light surface rust areas over the rear wheels. It has 130k miles on it. The only problems with it is that the exhaust is broken in half (the taper at the end of the resonator rusted through and it is just hanging from the middle of the car), and it needs new tires. I haven't fixed these yet because there's a pretty good chance that whoever buys the car will be putting on new wheels, tires, exhaust anyways. The clutch master cylinder is leaking as well, but I plan on fixing that this weekend. Also, the carpet has worn through on the driver side heel marks. This could be covered by a floormat.
If you're not planning on doing an engine swap right away. The engine runs great, has a clutch with 5000 miles on it, and the timing belt was changed at 100k. On last years emission (it is due now but the exhaust is preventing it from getting done) it practically exhaled fresh air. It burns no oil and has had regular maintenance done within the last 15k miles (spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter, air filter).
Asking $2200 as is or $2700 and I'll fix the exhaust, clutch master cylinder, get new tires and have it inspected.
Car is located in NW Raleigh, NC and is 100% driveable.
I am looking for a 92/93 Civic Si to setup for autocross and it's either this car going or my '91 Yellow MR2 NA (180k miles, autocross setup to be nationally competitive in ES). I absolutely love the MR2 but for the right price I'll let it go. I can make trades for a Si involving cash as well.

I apologize for the quality of the pictures, I know it's hard to tell, but here they are:
Civic VX and MR2
Also, I already bought a '93 Si so trades are officially out of question.
