H22A in EG (request)
Im sorta in the middle of decision making for my up and coming project. Im 99% sure I want to do H22A LSD version in an EG 92-95 hatch.
Just wanted to get some idea's, the do's and dont's of the swap. Ive been searching endless amounts and I never really come up with anything.
Help?

For the money, it's the most "powerful" motor you can put into your car. I personally don't like the H22a's design, but it's a good motor for what you get. It's more expensive to drop into your car i.e. (mounts, wiring, custom work). I would personally just drop a B18c in the car and call it a day. But if you need any help just PM me, and I'll try to answer your questions.

A local said he would throw it in a hatch for $3900 cdn, basic.
That includes Axels, shiftlinkage, Accord half-shaft, tranny and motor, ECU, all wiring etc.
I just want something that can put me in 13's and not break the bank, my integra is already killing me as it is.

go to jdmcustoms.com....they sell you a jdm h22a with axels, shift linkage, ecu, motor, tranny, wiring harness for like 3,000 but the motor comes with 15-25k miles and a 1 year unlimited mile warranty, and free shipping.

I like h22a swap into the EG Hatchback, I am planning on doing the same thing when I get back from my 6 month deployment overseas the gulf, just started today....got a long way to go. But the h22a is definetly more powerful then the b18c. Don't get my wrong the b18c is nice the EG Hatch also, and it is a direct bolt on so less of a pain, but for the money the H22A is the way to go. For the same amount of money you can get all the extras you need for the h22a into the civic as the b18c would cost. If you do it though you definetly have to upgrade your suspension and tires or else you'll spin your a*s off.
my boy has done the swap...and he loves it...he spun out in every gear at first...until he got the slicks...and he burns mostly any car that comes to the line...for example...corvettes...mustangs...of course other civics...and integras...rsx...to many to list really but definitely do it...

What can I say? I <3 My H22A. 
I can't really complain.. I get 30mpg and I did 13.8 with intake and exhaust. It's a good motor for the price.
Now, my only real complaint is the tranny. With a ITR Tranny bolted to the H22 it would be an entirely different motor.

i agree,i recently finished my jdm h22a swap into my 92 civic ex four door,i love it, its worth the money u spend...on the flip side of things ...i saved a lot of money doing the swap myself, now im looking to put together a turbo kit for my civic...all in all man its a great swap, good luck on your project and pm me if u need any help
I would say one big downside for me is the shift cables instead of linkage. Has anyone else had problems with them? I've broken a couple cables just shifting hard. Also, the motor hangs pretty close to the ground, but it's managable. Other than that, its a great swap.

Surprisingly I still have my old turbo kit that I used to turbo my hatch. If you're interested, hit me up on PM. Look around for a Greddy 18G prelude kit and bolt that sucker on with good fuel management and you'll be golden.

i have 3 1/2" of oil pan clearance in my del sol (lowered 1.5-2" on coilovers). its actually pretty manageable, not as bad as i thought it would be.

they haven't finished it yet, and i'm really curious to see what it looks like. I honestly can't see how linkage would work at all in an eg. The subframe is in the way, and if you go under it, I don't see how it could connect to the levers on the tranny. Avid racing makes some too, but its for race applications only.

Well that's not bad then in your case. When I was debating about a H22 or GSR B18C, I realised my car was too low - a little over 3" dropped all round and some bumpy streets here where I live, that oilpan would have been destroyed I think

It would be nice if you rebuild the H22 with stronger internals, etc. and turbo it on some high boost! That would be crazy fast!

Here's a pic for you. I know it's kinda dark, but you get the idea on ground clearance. BTW, this is with the HCP mount kit, and 16" wheels 205 45 16 tires.
