Yokohama Parada Spec-2 VS ES 100
I noticed that the spec II has a longer threadwear. Anyone tried the spec IIs, trying to see which one I should buy.
Need them for my daily driver turbo intega.
TIA

The difference in treadwear ratings between the Parada Spec-2 & the ES100 (300 VS. 280, respectively) is insignificant. I would avoid drawing any conclusions about which tire will wear longer when the numbers are that close.
I replied to another question about UTQG ratings in another post and went into a fair amount of detail if you'd like to check that out...

Basically, the treadwear number is assigned relative to a 195/75R14 Uniroyal Tiger Paw all season tire. That tire is given a rating of 100, and everything else is based off of that as part of DOT required testing. So to say that the parada's and ES100's are significantly different is a stretch.
Let me know if I answered your question!

If you're using the stock 15" wheels, you'll have to get the ES100. The Parada Spec 2 doesn't come in any 16" sizes.
I'm using the ES100 on my GS-R. Performance is fine, both wet and dry (they ROCK in the rain), and based on the tread depth so far, it looks like they might last 40,000 miles.
However, if you're looking for something whose performance is up to meeting the challenges of the turbo, you might want to consider spending more money for a top of the line tire (e.g. Bridgestone S-03, Kumho MX, etc), rather than one of these "budget performance" tires.

the es100s tend to do better after they heat up as well. I've not had them but a friend ran the spec 2s on his del sol. They'd do pretty good for a run or two (auto-x) but once they heated up, they got greasy. People will run the ES100s during HPDEs and track events without them getting greasy so....

I don't think so; you might want to check again. I just checked tires.com and they only list Parada Spec 2 sizes for 16" and larger wheels. That's also true of the Yokohama website and Tire Rack website; both those websites only list Parada Spec 2 sizes for 16" and larger wheels.
