Default Wastegate plan/ Question

I wanted to get some professionals opinions on what I'm planning on doing for the wastegate on my long tube equal lenght header. Remember that the merge collectors that are there are double slips.

The red represents the tubes going to the Tial 44mm
The Grey is the WG
The yellow will be small SS rod braces 2 going to the side of the turbo flange and the 3rd going to the front of the turbo flange all of them coming together to support the wastegate at the V band flange.

Keep in mind that these tubes will look MUCH better in metal than I can photo shop, they will be a little smaller diameter than the secondaries and be fed from before the bend then bend down for the wastegate location. OR if room allows we'll go straight out and not bend at all.

My questions are:
1. Does this look like adequte bracing? (keep in mind it's just a vband flange so there's not really much meat to go to like I would if it were a flat steel flange)

2. Would you use another double slip here or just weld it solid?

Material is .065 SS
TIA

btw to those that PM'd me I'm on "probabtion" or something and can't reply to anyone for 2 weeks!! haha I'm grounded! I tried to answer a guy that gave me his email but I couldn't reply and it won't let me see the PM again to read the email again. Talk to you guys in a week an 1/2! haha

That looks fine.
But if it is a split pulse inlet on the turbine, have one pipe coming off each secondary, merging back into one pipe to enter the wastegate.
That's how i'd do it anyway.

Also, some people weld a short section of pipe onto the turbine housing straight after the flange and mount the wastegate from there. It's rumored to give better boost control.

I would brace the waste gate as well and use a double slip collector there. We did a smilialar setup to this on a PRO FWD car and the waste gate wasn't braced and it just barely started cracking. They repaired it with a weld seam and there haven't been any furhter issues.

When you do position the collector try and position it so the path of flow feeds directly into the waste gate this should give you the most accurate boost control

Try and fab a brace that will hold the waste gate housing you are defintley on the right track!!!!!

Thanks guys. yeah sss it's divided otherwise I'd do that on the housing, seems I read that too somewhere but don't remember where.MB maybe?

Casey any suggestions on what your talking about @ the WG housing? I'm at a loss on how to do that with the vband setup not really having any bolts, that's why I was thinking at the tube near the base of the vband flange.

thanks again. it's good to know I'm thinking right at least! Now I just wanna make sure we keep executing things right.

You should be able to weld a tab onto the V band clamp somewhere, and attach the brace like that. Obviously weld the tab on whilst the clamp is coupling the flanges to stop it from distorting significantly.
