Hey i just got a 96 accord ex with 156k miles, what are some things i could do to raise the horse power? it has the F22 vtech, i think thats to many miles for a turbo right? so what other things could i do? is there a site what sells the motors that are already built up with the pistions and rods and everything, so i could just put a turbo on it? like the same engine as the one i have or one that will direct bolt?

 

WOW! ive seen 4 of the same "what can i do to go faster" threads in the same day in the accord section...and boost is best

well, the accords have very reliable motors, and i'd say yours is still in its prime...do a leakdown and compression test to make sure the motor is still strong...if it is, then boost isn't out of the question...the original motor houses iron sleeves with 8.8:1 compression pistons from the factory...it's begging to be boosted and will wake up quite a bit if done right...
