T3/T4 converted to straight T4
ok guys i have a little dilemma here, i just purchased a rev hard manifold for my H and it's flanged for a T4. I've been searching everywhere for a used T4 that doesn't have such a big exhaust housing but can't seem to find one. what im really looking for is .70 or .60 compressor with a .60 or .57 trim and an exhaust housing less than .82, preferably .63. Now what im wondering if its possible to buy a t3/t4 and swap out the exhaust housing with a t4 housing, or will it not bolt up correctly. From what i know the t3/t4 is just a t4 compressor with a t3 exhaust housing as they call it a hybrid. So i figure you could just swap out the housings and should match up correctly right? or am i just totally off? thx!

A T3/T4 turbo is basically a T3 turbo with a T4 compressor wheel an housing slapped on. All the T4 housing will be too large for the T3 exhaust wheel on the turbo. No dice.
