gas gauge doesnt work!!

gas gauge doesnt work!!

ok,today i had to put 15 bucks in the tank and when i looked at the gas gauge it only read half tank..i dont know whats goin on....oh yeah by the way i have a 5th gen 5spd...please help

well if you were almost on empty $ 15 dollars would give you 1/2 tank with todays gas prices

I WOULD FILL TANK UP AND SEE WHERE GAUGE READS AT....
YOU COULD HAVE A BAD SENDING UNIT

If the gauge read empty and you put $15 then a half tank reading would be about right. It costs me around $30 for a full tank...

Maybe its just kinda stuck, mine was like that a while back too, i tapped the cluster a bit and it worked again just fine, sometimes the simplest trick can fix the hardest problems

Same here, I think you just need to put more gas in your car buddy $15 dosen't go very far at $2 + a gallon.
