My sponsor jsut got his dynocom dyno up and running. It took over a month because the people they were sending out to set it up kept getting delayed... so after having it in for a month it is now up and running. I haven't had my car on it yet, but I'll be tuning on it tomorrow afternoon. I'll post up results if you'd like. Here's a dyno fo a car that was on it 2 days ago:

All the hardware looks nice, and it seems like it will be a good dyno: just make sure that you get them to come out and set it up AS SOON as you get it, and don't let them leave until you're satisfied with its performance.

I was actually gonna call Dynowerks to see what they thought about it. I was hoping someone might shed some light on the differences between it and others.

YEP,

she's really really hot. I kinda backed out of a deal, but if she wants to pose for my car, I'll buy the damn dyno LOL hahaha

I am not sure dude, I can't find enough info on them, I looked and asked a lot of people. It has a lot of good features, eddy brakes and etc, but not enough experience with others to compare to dynapack or dynojet

Oh hell yah. The dyno girl from sema. I can vouch for stan that she's damn hot.

It did seem like their dyno had all the right features and a great price, but I havn't heard anything about them since then.

She sounded hot and very informed/knowledgeable but I cant let that affect my decision. No mental images please, must remain neutral.

I just tuned my car on it saturday and one other car as well. Its very repeatable, making it easy to see differences between pulls. Its basically a dynojet. The software looks a little more robust, but I haven't gotten to play with it very extensively yet. There still seems to be a few bugs but if you work around them it seems to work well.

I'll post my chart when I get a chance to scan it.

If you want to give dynowerx a call: 719-577-9577 and ask for Dave

UPDATE

I talked with Dynojet about the difference and he said there was none as the Dynocom is a copy of the Dynojet. I then talked to Dynocom and they said they used the dynojet design and improved it.

I talked to them at PRI about it. They managed to send people who knew nothing about dynos in general to represent them. A hot chick and 2 dudes that know how to use the software a little bit. They kept showing me how you can change the colors on the screen and make the gauges different sizes and move them around on the display screen. Their PID control of the speed with the eddy brake sounds kinda questionable, he said it overshoots for a second or two and then catches it. The Dyno Dynamics doesn't do that at all. That's pretty important when you're trying to keep it in a cell on a map. When i asked them where it displays torque in real time to dial in ignition timing, he said uh yeah, after you make a pull it shows the torque. When i explained to him why i'd want to read torque under constant load, he said, uh, yeah, I think you can do that too. lol Who knows, it might be decent, but their salesmen sure don't make me think that...

What is the advertised price for these? We are about to start looking into a dyno, but right now we can get a hell of a deal on a used Mustang dyno

To all the people that saw the dynocom dyno in person do you guys think that the deep knurling would help with the spin enough to make a huge differnce or just tear more rubber off your tires?

It looks like the rollers will hook up pretty good, but it also looks like it could destroy some tires! lol

I think maybe OBX makes this dyno...people selling it know jack **** about their product and its a cheaper version of an already existing design...

After talking to my tuner today I would say to go with the dyno dynamics dyno over every other unit out there. He made a lot of valid points as to why the dyno dynamics unit is better then everything else out. I'm not gonna jack your thread with a long post, but he did say the age old saying " you get what you pay for"

One last note, he did a lot of research on all of the dynos out there and he ended up just purchasing a dyno dynamics unit.
