Default How to get air to ITB's- Hood scoop, Cowl induction ???

Hey guys, I just want to see some of your setups on air induction for ITB's. What kinda hood scoops, air boxes, Cowl hoods work the best for a drag car?? I'm running a D16z6 in a 89 hatch on ITB's, and there really isn't much room by the firewall. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have an sti scoop or a stock scoop from a wrx if you want to utilize this setup. And, to add to Brian, Bleeps car i think looked quite badass with that setup

I already have WRX scoop on my car, but I was more interested in what other people are running, besides that. I'm not sure if the WRX scoop works too good tho. Maybe I need an STI one that's bigger.

That might actually look pretty sick on a Honda. A little too much for me tho.

if your looking for a cowl hood and your not afraid of a little fiberglass just cut your hood and fiberglass the side of the cowl u can make it any size / shape you want mini trucks do it all the time i did it to an s10 and it looks really clean im sure you would get a better over all hood as well

I think it would be pretty easy to build a cowl hood from your oem hood.

Cut right along the 2 body lines that are there now. Cut the profile you would like to have out of sheet steel.
Weld those at about a 70* angle coming up from the lines that you cut in the hood.
weld the center section back down ontop of the 2 vertical sections. Done, or at least in theory.

If you wanna go ghetto you can pick up a paint tray for the rollers from Wal-Mart, cut the big end off, and mold around that with fiberglass.

Hahhahah I actually just recently bought a roller and tray to paint the garage walls, and I've actually thought about using it on the underside of the hood to direct air towards the firewall. But I'm still stuck between Bigger hood scoop, or Cowl induction.....

might try this with my itb setup.
