Default question about omnipowers, or any coilovers

ive noticed that the omnipowers dont lower the ef very much in the front, even w/ the preload set all the way down.
by the way what does the preload do? and if these people are putting it all the way down, its not doing anything, so why not take it off so its just one perch and the spring, it would be doing the same thing anyway just being able to lower it that much further.

just a thought.

The preload is not more than lowering the top perch some and tightening the shock tower bolts to preload the spring. It keeps it from going bouncy on you. If you raise the bottm perch as much as possible and it still does not bring your ride to a desired height, you can still lower the top perch some, just like you would a groun or skunk coilover setup.
