How fast are we talking about? 11's?
If were talking about 11's, go find a cheap crx hf, build any motor, D series or B series, and spray a a 150 shot of direct port. It is the cheapest, easiest way to go fast...but personally is not my style.

this question is missing so many variables it's impossible to answer. to some cheap is 100.00 to others it's 4000. then do you want to drive it everyday or just at the track. do you care if its reliable?
the cheapest, most unreliable way to go fast is use spray with the motor you already have

the cheapest way would be blue printing the entire engine to factory settings. you could tell the difference as if it was night and day.
cheap & fast dont really exist in the same sentence. However i agree a turbo d would be goood. even build the bottom end and boost around 15-20 PSI on stock sleeves and block filled.

yea your gonna have to cheat somewhat if you want cheap. if you go that route, do D since the aftermarket parts are cheaper and easily found domestic, and so are replacement blocks/heads... etc
b stuff is usually more, and the advantage of going b would be a b16a or b18c which cost quite a bit more and must come from an importer. obviously there are domestic gsrs, but again, people dont just give those things away
and you'd probably be more upset if you blew one of those up as opposed to lets say, a d16a6.... but again, its all relative to what "cheap" means to you, as said above.

a wise man once told me "nitrous is like a hot girl with std's, you know you want to hit it but be aware of the consequences".
basically...don't do nitrous.
with $10,000 you could easily rebuild a 88-91 b16 (sir) and boost it
also i don't know what wheels are on the car right now, but i'd get some 15's with falken azenis.

With 10 g's to spend I wouldn't suggest going the nitrous route, but there is absolutley nothing wrong with running nitrous, especially on a built motor. It is just as safe as boosting your car, and is a lot easier to tune.
I personally do not really like nitrous that much, i would much rather have turbo...but in the beginning this guy said "cheap" and now he's saying 10,000$....thats a whole different ball game.

With i/h/e cams and a 50 shot you could break 12's. I'd rather buy the cams and shoot less.
