Default B18C1 in EG Coupe CEL?!?!?!

I recently swapped a obd1 gsr into my eg. 95 ex to be exact. the motor was pulled from a 94 gsr

eveything bolted up, all wiring was done by a friend of mine. we got the knock sensor code. but there is no CEL at idle. no CEL at all period...only when it hits vtec at 25-35% throttle it comes on, if more throttle or less throttle is used there is no CEL. why does it come on?? if it was the knock it should be on at all times. the only code i got is knock when i tested for the code. no other code was present. we are using stock eg fuel pump, 93 octane. could it be the fuel pump not pushing enough and causing the knock to come on?

No, the knock sensor won't throw a code till the car is warmed up and you get into the RPM, either your wiring job sucks or the sensor is bad.

the car is warmed up fully. then when we take it out and accelerate at 25-35% throttle it will come on, any less or more throttle...even full throttle...it doesnt come on.

any diagram on how the wires i am supposed to route and look?

What ecu? its just a one wire sensor. look at the stickies for ecu pinouts, and trace the wires. That should be no more than a 10 min fix.
