Where can I purchase Defi gauges online? I have found one website: www.spipowerexcel.com but they don't have any pricing information.. Help would be great!

I am using them. They are beautiful gauges although not cheap. The daisy link setup is very convenient and offers many features.

I have the Defi Tachmeter, but I am having problem setting the RPM for the shiftlight to come on. I set it to 8800RPM everytime, but then when I turnoff the engine, it reset itself back to 7000rpm. Anyone else have this problem?

Mafay,
Check your wiring. Sounds like maybe when you turn off the car, you are also killing power to the unit...?
As for the gauges, VERY nice units. You will not be dissappointed in them.

They are pricey though. Guess you get what you pay for.

Yep. After driving a car (eclipse) with the defi gauges in it, I'm selling my autometer gauges and putting Defi's in.. this is for my $900 conquest. On a club race car, etc. I'll stick with autometers but they just look soooo poo pooy IMO at night.. I've always hated em. But the Defi's look awesome

Why would you want water and oil temp? Would the water temp be based on oil temp? So if oil temp is realy high, you know your water temp is going to be high also? Also plan on getting fuel pressure, but run that under the hood.

nah....water temp measures the temp of ur radiator fluids, so u know if ur overheating or running too hot. completely different from oil temp.

defi is the chit.....nice guages and easy to install but it is mucho $$$$ so yes u do get wat u pay for.

In a way.. but the oil isn't cooled by the water, so the oil temp can go up, and reach a point where the oil will breakdown (VERY unlikely but still), at the same time, what if your thermo is fugged up and stays closed? The water temp will soar, oil will go up too, but not nearly as much, etc.

quick question: what do the Defi guages look like at night? I would like to do a few guages, but I want something to match the factory amber illumination, is there such a beast?

Go with Omori
They make gauges for Greddy, Blitz, STI and many others.

Agreed... http://www.omorimeter.co.jp/ Mike, did you ever get the pricing on the gauges? But as you can tell don't need the EGT anymore...maybe I'll pick up some of the other gauges in the future.

The new Defi BF series seems to be promising. Same as the link series, but when the car is turned off, the gauge screen goes completely black.

But don't ITRs have a simple oil cooler from the factory?!
