Mixing jic and -an fittings?....

Do any of you all know the difference in flare angle of -an and jic fittings? From what I gather -an is 36 degrees and jic are 37 degrees. Is this correct?

I Mix them all the time, Mostly when I don't have time to order Aluminum AN fittings I go to the boatyard down the street and but brass or steel JIC

Hydraulic shop is your friend too

On a different note, does such a conversion chart exist that converts AN sizes to JIC (or vice versa)?

Edit:

Did a lil research and found at http://www.fordmuscle.com/arch...tings/

Divide AN # by 16 to get inches
