Default USDM H23 non-vtec VS. JDM F22b DOCH (non-vtec)

I'm going ot buy another H23 but I got a good offer for the JDM F22B which is the japanese version of the USDM H23. My question is which one would be better for boost? Since the JDM engine is a F series does it still have the iron cast sleves? does USDM H23 has the same kind of sleve? Thank you all for useful information...

Aw the engine will go in to a 95 Accord Coupe.

First off the f22b is NOT the h23 in japan... they have the h23 as well (VTec i might add ) Stick with the h23, if you break something it will be a hell of a lot easier to replace than anything for the f22b

Actually, the f22b dohc and the h23 share a lot of the same parts, along with some f22 sohc parts as well. Def check out http://www.cb7tuner.com there is a wealth of info on that site about the f22b dohc

personally, I would stick with the H23 because they are common as hell in america. if you're going to be boosting, from my understanding, the H23 handles boost VERY well.

but if you do happen to **** something up, it'll be quite easier to grab more parts incase of this event on an H23.
