how do i jack the car from the front?
You don't see a spot under the radiator support? How about the tow hooks? Do that then support the side(s) of the car with some jack stands.
Edit: Nvm then.

i've heard jacking your car up from the front core support is a bad idea. i just jack up each side one at a time from the jack points and put jack stands under.

It is and I know from personal experience.
I did it one time and now my hood alignment is ALL fucked up. The radiator support is pushed up and the hood is off to the right side and up on the left.
Just jack it up from each side and put jack stands under. Oh yeah, the worst part about when I used the front jack point, it didn't even jack my car up high enough to allow me to put the stands on the sides.

buy another jack, or use a piece of wood between the jack and the car. but i'm sure you already figured that out...

Still doesn't fix the hood problem. you should always use jack stands when working under the car, and it only takes a couple extra seconds to do each side individually. I don't see why you would want to jack it up from the front.

****, when it comes to working under your car, I don't trust anything thats not in the manual.
I'd rather take the time to put jackstands under it than do it halfassed and get crushed.......... just my opinion though.

there is a spot under the body for them. i don't have a pic, but its towards the center of the car and about 6-10" from the jack point. That or you can use the lower control arm if you're not doing suspension work.

Is it the long pieces that extend the midsection of the car from front to rear? I've been using those and are they supposed to crush or stay in the same shape? Mine have crushed over time.

I hope your not talking about your front sub frame that is connected to your front LCA's
And for anybody not using jack stands I would use them every time you get underneath your, my bad experience with using just a jack, when I fist started tooling around with my car the jack tipped over from trying to get a bolt loose but luckily I wasn't underneath the car(they tip easy especially when your not on a perfectly flat surface)

well most people jack the car up from the front so the car goes up evenly in the air, that way you can put both jackstands on at once. if you do it from the side, then the car would be tilted, so when you have one jackstand on one side, and you jack up the other side, there is the possibility the other jackstand can fall over.. but as we know, civic when you jack up the front, they don't go up evenly like most cars. i still use the front though.

I always have jacked it up from the pictured spot and had no problems at all.

Next time I get under the car I'll get a pic. hopefully this weekend. And as far as it being uneven, I like that. It makes it easier to get under one side of the car. I've never seen a jackstand tilt at all because of this, so I know they are no where near tipping over.

Civic's should not be jacked in the front unless you want to risk some damage.
If the vehicle is operational and you can not use Jacks from the side because it is too low, use Ramps. My car is too low, except for some extremly low profile jacks. I have to use the Ramps to change my oil. I bought mine from Kragen for about 25.00.
Good luck
